The Vox Your Startup campaign through which we offer a free office for two years to a startup has come to a successful end. After several meetings with semifinalist team members and carefully analyzing each project, the jury chose to award two startups, instead of one.
Due to the fact that there were several innovative projects with a high potential for development, the jury consisting of: Ms. Ilinca Păun – Managing Partner, Colliers International, Prof. Dr. Marilen Pirtea – Rector of the West University of Timişoara and Mr. Virgil Tornoreanu – Managing Partner, Werk Property Group has made the decision to award the prize not to a single winner, but to the two projects that have the greatest technological and social impact. After analyzing the projects and with the desire to support both the social impact and the technological development in mind, the jury chose to offer a double prize to SkeletonCAD and Mindfully.
SkeletonCAD is a company that aims at developing and distributing software products, fundamental research and its application in the field of computer-aided design software.
“We have a small team of specialists and strong international connections that have already managed to win the trust of a few businessmen from Timisoara and startup support organizations. In addition, we have contacts with corporations established in Timisoara, which may become our first customers. All of this characterizes us as a high-tech and innovative company.”, Bogdan Lazăr, SkeletonCAD.
About Skeleton CAD, Mr. Marilen Pirtea says it is “by far the most professional start-up in the competition, and most likely to find further funding and develop in a healthy manner.”
Mindfully is the youngest competitor and has made a statement by approaching artificial intelligence and its use for medical purposes to predict schizophrenia.
“Our startup is focused on technological innovation related to artificial intelligence, in order to reach the next level of its implementation we need a space in which we can come up with new ideas for these implementations, and at the same time a place where we can test our product, this being the main way in which a state-of-the-art office would help us continue to develop our product. “- Ştefan Iarca, Mindfully
We really appreciated the involvement of the three Polytechnic students, passionate about technology and dedicated to a cause with great impact in the medical sector. Mindfully is the project that, in the opinion of Ms. Ilinca Păun, had the most remarkable background due to the team behind him and the mission that they have assumed.

Prof. Dr. Marilen Pirtea, the rector of the West University of Timişoara, believes that among the projects enrolled in the competition “Mindfully has the most important social impact, which we actually lack today. They deserve to be awarded confidence and motivation. ”
At the end of the competition, Mr. Virgil Tornoreanu, Managing Partner Werk Property Group is pleased that there are a large number of young people in Timisoara who want to invest their energy and time in a constructive way. “We are very happy to see that Timisoara has a lot of talented and open young people, eager to evolve. It was really difficult to choose one winning idea, which is why we decided to award the prize to two startups. SkeletonCAD and Mindfully will both receive an office in our building for at least two years.
