Vox Technology Park has obtained many awards so far and still continues to do so, establishing itself as the most awarded building in Timisoara.
The most recent distinction was the Grand Prix International Architecture Contest in Italy, where the building ranked third.
“The project has the ability to provoke emotions by incorporating light and reflections into surfaces coated with glossy ceramic tiles. These reflections multiply, blurring the constructive lines, canceling the boundaries between the ceiling, the walls, and the floor, creating an atypical space defined only by the glossy surface of the ceramic tiles “, the jury motivated this important award for the smartest western building Romania.
Casalgrande Padana Grand Prix is an international top-of-the-line architecture competition that recognizes the merits of those professionals who, through their work, best highlight the technical qualities and creative possibilities of Casalgrande Padana ceramic materials.
Over 25 years of history and more than 1,500 projects across 5 different continents. This is Grand Prix, the International Architecture Competition of the Casalgrande Padana Group, now at its 11th edition.
Great names in the world of architecture or architectural companies with years of experience have competed together with young talents in this competition on the common field of design, where creativity and technological innovation harmoniously complement, giving rise to unique projects.
But Vox Technology Park has received other prestigious awards as well. Last year, at the National Architecture Biennial, which took place on October 1, the building won the “Architecture of Public Construction Award”. The National Architecture Biennial is an important professional event of the architect guild, constantly organized since 1994.
Vox Technology Park in Timisoara was among the winners of the Architecture of Public and Commercial Construction – BIGSEE Architecture Awards, Ljubljana, which took place on April 17, 2019. Bigsee Architecture Awards is an event bringing remarkable buildings from Eastern Europe to the forefront. There were 18 participating countries.
Vox Technology Park, the greenest building in Romania
At the same time, the building was certified with Breeam Excellent, having obtained the highest score achieved so far in Romania. BREEAM is the most commonly used method used today to assess the impact of buildings on the environment. This is a standard for sustainable design and has become the primary tool for assessing the environmental performance of a building. BREEAM is applicable to both existing and new buildings.
All these achievements were made possible with the support of Studio Arca, an architecture office in Timisoara that came with the Vox Vertical Village concept, a project that is unique in Romania.
“Studio Arca is an architectural office in Timisoara, founded by Radu Golumba, Calin Pascu, Luminita Pascu and Claudiu Oprita in 1999. Our projects reflect the experience of almost 20 years of design and the unique knowledge of each member of the team. Among the reference projects is the rehabilitation of public spaces in Timisoara’s historical center, Timisoara Hotel, Nokia Campus, Optics Business Center, Smartfit, Uranus Plaza, Vivalia Heroes, Vivalia Baader, Origami Residence, VOX Technology Park, VOX Vertical Village, said Mihaela Rusulet, architect at Studio Arca.
